Come Explore Winter Wonderland in Bel Air
Enjoy the spirit of the holiday season along Main Street with light displays, including the Bel Air Armory, Harford County Courthouse, and Bel Air Town Hall. From November 28, 2026, to January 3, 2027, downtown Bel Air will be lit with thousands of warm lights for the community to enjoy each night. Immerse yourself in the glow of holiday lights while enjoying live musical performances, carolers, and much more on Saturdays, November 28, December 5, and December 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Plus, you can check items off your gift-giving list with extended hours in many of our shops.
Downtown Light Displays

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
Saturdays, November 28 – December 12
5:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Enjoy a complimentary carriage ride through Downtown Bel Air on Saturdays November 28, December 5, and December 12. On December 5, Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with carriage rides 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Main Street businesses will be OPEN during the street closure! Sign up in person only at the Armory on the evening you wish to ride. Reservations are only accepted in person on the day of the ride. Volunteers will begin taking names and assigning times at 4:00 p.m. We will accommodate as many groups as possible. Rides last approximately ten minutes and the carriage holds your group of up to four adults. You will be given a time slot, and your party will be asked to return to the Armory at that time. Visits with Santa

Visit Santa in front of the Harford County Courthouse or hand deliver your letter to him with your special Christmas requests. While you are there, keep an eye out for the Snow Sisters!
Special Events & Attractions
Saturdays between November 28 and December 12 will be fun filled in historic downtown Bel Air!
Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic on Saturday, December 5 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. for Winter Wonderland events. Main Street businesses will be OPEN during the street closure! Use the Hickory Avenue parking garage, the Hickory Avenue lot, the Lee Street lot and the Bond/Thomas Street lot as parking alternatives.

Live Musical Performances – Each Saturday Night
Live musicians will be performing on the stage at Frederick Ward Armory Park and at the Historic Downtown Bel Air mural (next to Main Street Tower) each Saturday 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Winter Wonderland Craft Fair – December 5, 2026
Come to the Bel Air Armory to shop the Winter Wonderland Craft Fair! Local vendors will feature dozens of artisans offering unique gift items for everyone on your list. The Market will be open Saturday 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Train Garden – Fridays – Saturdays Thanksgiving – Christmas
Enjoy a stroll through a Christmas-themed train garden. The display is free and open to the public Thanksgiving – Christmas on Fridays (November 27-December 18) 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays (November 28-December 19) 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Located in the back room at Main Steet Tower, 29 South Main Street (enter from Burns Alley). In addition, the train garden will be open the day of the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on December 6 1:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Train Rides – November 28, December 5 & December 12, 2026
All aboard the Winter Wonderland Express! There’s a new way to make magical memories at Winter Wonderland in Bel Air. Climb aboard for free train rides for the whole family. All smiles, laughter, and a little choo-choo cheer guaranteed! Located at Old Fields Park next to 138 N. Bond Street. Rides are available November 28, December 5 & December 12 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Recommended parking in the Hickory parking garage, downtown Bel Air parking lot or on Main Street. All parking is free in Bel Air after 5:00 pm & on Saturdays and Sundays.
