Bring your tubas, euphoniums and baritone horns and join in the event.

Get into the Christmas spirit with a trip through the magical and unique train garden designed especially for Bel Air! The garden features a lighted Christmas train, ice skaters, a  circus and plenty of town and countryside scenes that are sure to delight people of every age! You can even participate in a scavenger hunt to find items located throughout the garden. Admission is free. The train garden will be open starting the Friday after Thanksgiving during the following hours:

November 25: 5:00pm – 8:30pm

November 26: 2:00pm – 8:30pm

December 1: 5:00pm – 8:00pm

December 2: 5:00pm – 8:30pm

December 3: 2:00pm – 8:30pm

December 4: 12:00pm – 6:00pm (parking and access is limited this day between 2-5pm due to the Bel Air Christmas Parade)

With past performances in 1972 and 1989, this musical features a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision. “The Sound of Music” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization. www.concordtheatricals.com

Spirits of Christmas Past: Candlelight Christmas Tour @ Historical Society of Harford County

Join the Historical Society of Harford County for a unique Christmas adventure. Learn about Harford County’s Christmas in days gone by at this year’s candlelight tour featuring downtown Bel Air in its holiday finery. The 1 1/2 hour walking tour begins at the Historical Society, 143 N. Main Street and then returns to the Society. Parking is available on the Historical Society parking lot. Group tours are limited to 20 people.

Registration required. Tickets will not be available at the door.

Tours are every Friday & Saturday November 24 – December 16. Tour times are 7-8:30 pm.

Enjoy Christmas stories of days gone by, caroling, cookies and more!

Tickets are $20 for adults and $7 for children.
