The Bel Air Arts & Entertainment District is proud to support Artists Sunday this November 27, 2022, an art-focused shopping day that celebrates artists and craftspeople and helps local artists sell more of their work. Think of it like Black Friday or Small Business Saturday but for shopping for art! In addition to our premier gallery with Harford Artists’ Association at Armory Marketplace, over 15 local stores and restaurants carry and sell locals artists’ work.

Get into the Christmas spirit with a trip through the magical and unique train garden designed especially for Bel Air! The garden features a lighted Christmas train, ice skaters, a circus and plenty of town and countryside scenes that are sure to delight people of every age! You can even participate in a scavenger hunt to find items located throughout the garden. Admission is free. The train garden will be open starting the Friday after Thanksgiving during the following hours:

Join the Rockfield Foundation as they kick off the holidays at the Annual Rockfield Manor Tree Lighting for the community. There will be light refreshments, live holiday music and a visit from Santa as a part of the special evening. Please bring an unwrapped new toy to donate to Toys for Tots as your admission.

The Bel Air Holiday Market is a collaboration between The Belle Aire Market and the Bel Air Farmers’ Market to bring artisan shopping to Bel Air! On Saturdays, from November 26 through December 17, 9 to 11 a.m. you will be able to shop for locally grown and produced food items from our local farmers and pick up gifts for loved ones from local artists!
The Bel Air Lions Club will have Christmas trees available for sale with proceeds benefitting programs the Lions support in our community. Tree types available will include Douglas Fir and Balsam / Fraser Fir hybrids.
Lot Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 4:00pm – 8:00pm
Friday: 2:00pm – 8:00pm
Saturday – Sunday: 9:00am – 9:00pm
Tree Size:
Trees are 6 – 8 ft
Cost:
$90 for any size tree. Credit Cards preferred but cash or check will be accepted.
Join Harford Artists Gallery for their annual Holiday Open House and find something for everyone on your list! In addition to their regular exhibit, the gallery will feature many smaller items ideal for gift giving at the holidays. While there, enjoy cookies and cider and meet some of our local artists!
Tour the beautifully decorated historic Liriodendron mansion and enjoy holiday favorites including:
- Art and craft vendors selling one-of-a-kind gifts and decorations
- Greenery and arrangements for purchase
- Live music throughout the day
- Refreshments for sale from Waffle’n Joe Food Truck
- Activities for kids
- Visits with Santa
- A holiday basket raffle with lots of goodies

Suggested donation is $5 per family, and proceeds will benefit the non-profit Liriodendron Foundation, which preserves and maintains the historic venue and provides free and low-cost programming for the community year-round.
The Liriodendron Mansion, located at 502 W. Gordon St. in Bel Air, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as an architectural treasure, cultural center, and events venue. Owned by Harford County, it is operated by the non-profit Liriodendron Foundation. This stunning example of Palladian architecture was built in 1898 as the summer home for Dr. Howard A. Kelly, a founding physician of Johns Hopkins Hospital and Medical School, and his wife and 9 children.
